Devika's Cremation Ceremony
On October 1, 2026, Devika's cremation ceremony was held in Tokyo, conducted according to Hindu tradition and in keeping with the wishes of her father.
Representing the Malayalee community in Japan, Ajay Peethambaran, Anil Raj, Babu Koshy, Divya Prakash, Joy Joseph, Jishnu Madhav, and Prajilal KP attended the ceremony, along with two officials from the Embassy of India, Tokyo.
The last rites were performed by Prajilal, under the officiating of Karmi Vikas Vishwambhar. As with the rest of the proceedings, the ceremony was livestreamed so that Devika's parents, relatives, and well-wishers in Kerala could join and pay their final respects remotely.
